Mark is a Director of the firm and has been practising in the field of commercial and general litigation and arbitration since 1999. He has extensive experience in dispute resolution, in particular commercial, corporate, banking, construction and shipping disputes. Mark has advised and been counsel to numerous multi-national corporations, international banks and high net worth individuals in litigation disputes in the High Court and the Court of Appeal of Singapore and in arbitration proceedings under the rules of various leading arbitral institutions such as the SIAC, HKIAC, ICC and AAA. Mark has since 2009 been regularly recognised in global legal directories and publications such as Global Arbitration Review; Chambers; Legal 500 and IFLR 1000. Mark was most recently recommended as a leading lawyer in the Singapore Shipping section of the Legal 500 (2018 edition) and described as “quality and responsive” in the International Arbitration section of the same guide. In addition to his practice, Mark previously tutored undergraduates at the National University of Singapore in Trial Advocacy.

Joyce is a tax lawyer with more than 16 years of experience across a broad spectrum of tax-related legal work with the Law Division of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). She had rendered legal advice on a variety of tax issues and represented the IRAS in numerous noteworthy civil tax dispute cases before the Boards of Review, High Court and the Court of Appeal, as well as in the prosecution of tax offenders at the State Courts. She was also involved in the legislative drafting of various provisions in the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax Act, Property Tax Act and Stamp Duties Act as well as the respective subsidiary legislation. She is also experienced in corporate counsel work such as the drafting and reviewing of commercial contracts and the handling of government-related tender and procurement issues.
